Very good fun, with a few minor niggles

There is a lot of game here. I like the way it introduces new concepts to you, but keeps it relatively simple at the same time.

I felt the physics was very off, the guy jumps the height of a skyscraper and floats in the air, which felt very strange. His walk animation is about 8x slower than his walk speed. The sonic noise when collecting stars was a bit strange too! Also really didn't like the way you can't shoot through a dead baddie until they have faded out.

Overall great game though :)

I expected them to fart

Nice, simple fun. Took a while to figure out what all the power-ups were meant to do, by which time I had no chance to get into deep space (and no real incentive to play it again) but it was still good fun while it lasted.

Quite nice :)

Good fun. Needs a lot of work of course, but actually enjoyed playing this! Great music too ;)

Great fun

It's a nice different concept, wrapped up in cute graphics and fun gameplay. Lots of levels to keep you going, nice slow drip-fed gameplay enhancements and amusing voice acting :) I don't ge the review that said it had no story, it's right there at the start.

Nice concept at first, but bored by the 4th level

Subject says it all. Visually lovely, and a good concept too, but I just couldn't be bothered to go any further beyond the 5th level as I felt I had seen it all. I'm sure I hadn't, but at the rate new features were being introduced I couldn't be bothered to wait any longer to find out. Seeing how far up the goal was and knowing I had to build a giant tower to it just put me off totally.

Good fun, if you've got the time

I really enjoyed this - it wasted a good half an hour of my lunch break today. It's quite slow going at first, but once you get into it there is a fun little RTS game lurking in here. I got at far as taking over 4 sectors, and would have gone further but ran out of time. Not sure if it saves my progress locally or not, but if it does then I'll play it again later. If not then I probably won't bother.

Awesomeness

This is easily the best game of this under-represented genre in Flash. Not many other games have tried the full-on Outrun style approach, but this one pulls it off with aplomb. Great track selection too.

Sweet game missing only the thrust

Lovely graphics. Rock solid execution. Nice menu system and it plays well. But I agree with others who say that removing the inertia / momentum that the original has makes removed a little of its soul too. The thrust was important as it meant you could continue blasting something, while moving, without thinking about moving (the asteroids "drift kill" ability). Sorry but I miss it too :)

Good fun

I like it - nice graphics, funny audio. Game is addictive, but maybe a bit girly :)

Cute and fun for the first few levels

First up the visuals in this game are lovely. They fit really well and are nicely animated. The sound also fits perfectly. Good attention to detail in the menu and other in-game elements.

The core idea behind the game is simple but effective. A good mix of strategy is required to get through the levels. My only comments would be that even with the power-ups there was little incentive for me to play beyond level 3 as the core game didn't appear to change much (just more flowers and bugs). Also there was quite a bit of slow-down as more filters were applied to the visuals, at one point it was lagging quite a bit, but once the effects had worn off it sped up again. Very nice game though, great stuff for 3 weeks work.
